Your donation will make a difference in the life of a less fortunate child. Won't you make a contribution? As little as $25.00 will purchase supplies as much as you can afford will be used for these children. We have a donation chart on the www.mahoganyyouth.com website and you can sponsor kids for camp for 1 week up to 10 weeks or specify for more children. The kids fish FRESHWATER and SALTWATER, from shorelines, private boats and from charter boats.
We teach the kids fishing and boating techniques. We educate them about different species of fish; and in addition, we offer fishing mentorship classes. Furthermore, we work to educate kids and adults about available equipment and how to use this equipment and its corrected use to catch various species of fish. We also teach them how to locate and conserve our fishing resources. We provide fishing tournaments and mentoring for our youth programs. We also give fishing seminars and workshops for adults, We publish a monthly newspaper that informs our yearly subscribers and club members of upcoming fishing and boating events, and the results of past tournaments.
Additionally, you'll be inspired by the motivational writings of our fishing and
boating professionals. During our monthly meeting we discuss club participation
in upcoming tournaments and social events. Discount fishing charters and
referrals are just one of numerous club advantages offered to our members.
Mahogany Youth Corp., Inc., is a non-profit program designed to teach youth the technique of sport fishing and safe boating. Our goal is to introduce youth (ages 4-18) , to fishing activities, tournaments, and workshops throughout South Florida. Additionally the youth have their own monthly clubhouse meeting. We have senior citizens in the community that occasionally volunteer to chaperone and to fish during these exciting events. The workshops and classes are designed to help build self-esteem through "hands on" training. The children will develop confidence. You get a tax write off while sharing your love of the outdoors.
