Why Do We Fish? 

For some its a food thing. For some its a sports thing and for others its competition. For me its all of that and more its a spiritual thing. Mark 1:17  says "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." I fish for Soul Food. When I am on the water I talk to My God. I tell God everything that is good and what seems to not be good. My fears, my hopes and dreams I share them all with God on the water. 

Jeremiah  29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." I can trust God because His plans for me are for my best interest.  "God has plans for me and for you. Sometimes they include catching fish and sometimes its catching a tan. But after a day on the water my spirit is fed and all seems right with the world.

If you do not have a personal relationship with God. If you do not know that the same spirit of God that was in Jesus dwells in you. I invite you to attend church. Pray that God will guide you to the right church so that you can be fed spiritually.

Often we fish on Sundays and can not get to church because  of it. Instead of feeling guilty have church where you are. God is already there whether you realize it or not. 

  God is everywhere equally present and equally powerful. So you can talk to God no matter where you are or what you are going through. God always hears and always answers. And God understands that we all have fallen short of what we thought we should do. Romans 3: 22 "This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

We live in an orderly universe and each action has a reaction. So pray  and know that God hears. Why would you pray and then be afraid. If you know that you know that God knows, before you can even pray it thenTrust God!  The still small voice you hear when you pray and meditate can lead and direct your path. 

God is the great I AM. Whatever you say you are you will be. The power of life and death is in the tongue so be careful of your words. Say I am the best fisherman or woman on the planet. Fish often and you will become it. 

And remember to be thankful and grateful everyday for everything that you have and can experience.
